The Indian Railway

The Indian Railway

Always chaotic, and never fails to give me mini heart attacks. Despite all that, it’s by far the cheapest and best mode of transport in India (away from the busy traffic). All you need is a little bit of patience, and you’ll reach your destination in no time (or maybe a day or two). I decided to head to Darjeeling by train – despite taking longer as compared to a flight. I was eager to experience the excitement of taking a train all over again!

Despite being my fifth train ride in India, I still get that same feeling: the anxiety and uncertainty. The good thing is, despite all the anxiety and stress, you’ll always end up at the right seat (sometimes in sweat), thinking back and laughing at yourself.
